Placements24 is seeking a Remote Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our distributed engineering team, building scalable ML systems and deploying models at scale. You'll mentor junior engineers, optimize models for production, collaborate with data scientists, and contribute to ML infrastructure in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, ML, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional ML engineering or software development with ML focus.
• Expertise in Python and ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS SageMaker, Google AI Platform, Azure ML).
• Strong understanding of MLOps and tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD).

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of scalable ML systems and pipelines.
• Optimize ML models for production with focus on performance, latency, and cost.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote ML engineering best practices (MLOps).
• Collaborate with data scientists to productionize research models.
• Develop and maintain monitoring/alerting for deployed models.
• Contribute to ML platform architecture and infra decisions.
