Job summary

Ntt Data in Johannesburg is seeking a hands-on ML/GenAI Engineer to build, deploy, and scale production AI solutions on Databricks, AKS and cloud platforms. You will operationalise models, develop AI apps and agents, and create reusable pipelines with CI/CD, monitoring and governance.

You will collaborate with data scientists and platform teams to ensure secure, scalable, and cost-efficient delivery of business-ready AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience building, deploying and supporting ML in production.
• Strong MLOps, CI/CD and observability practices.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL and API development.

Responsibilities

• Productionise, deploy and monitor ML models and data pipelines on Databricks.
• Build and support AI Agents, GenAI apps and RAG solutions on Databricks.
• Develop reusable ML pipelines with CI/CD, tests and governance.
• Deploy, optimise and manage models on AKS and cloud platforms.
• Create APIs and microservices to expose AI capabilities to business apps.
• Containerise solutions with Docker and Kubernetes for scalable deployments.
• Monitor model performance, drift and reliability in production.
• Collaborate with data scientists to productionise prototypes.
• Work with security, platform and infrastructure teams to ensure compliance.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimise for cost and performance.
• Share knowledge, mentor juniors and stay current with AI tech.
