Placements24 is seeking a Senior Metallurgical Process Engineer for our client in Benoni, Gauteng. The role focuses on optimizing mineral processing plants to maximize recovery and product quality.

You will troubleshoot complex processing issues, implement improvements, and support design, commissioning and start-up of new facilities. The ideal candidate holds a BSc/BEng in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering with 7+ years of mining or mineral processing experience, and a strong grasp of unit

Qualifications

• BSc or BEng in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years in metallurgical process engineering within mining/mineral processing.
• Strong understanding of comminution, flotation, leaching, solid-liquid separation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize metallurgical processes to improve recovery and throughput.
• Conduct plant trials, test work, and simulations to evaluate changes.

About the Role

Requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
