About the Role

Our client, a significant entity in the mining industry, is looking to appoint a motivated Metallurgical Process Engineer at their facility in **Centurion, Gauteng**. This role is central to optimizing the performance and efficiency of our mineral processing plants. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of metallurgical processes to maximize recovery rates and product quality while minimizing operational costs. This position demands a strong analytical mind, a deep understanding of metallurgical principles, and hands‑on experience in plant operations. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement initiatives, conduct performance testing, and ensure adherence to stringent quality and environmental standards. You will work collaboratively with operations, maintenance, and research teams to achieve plant objectives and contribute to the overall success of the business in **Centurion**. Key Responsibilities

• Optimize metallurgical processes to improve recovery, throughput, and product quality.

Requirements

• Proven experience with process simulation software (e.g., METSIM, JKSimMet).
• Strong understanding of comminution, flotation, leaching, and downstream processes.
• Experience in data analysis, statistical process control (SPC), and reporting.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good understanding of plant operations and safety procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Knowledge of the South African mining and processing landscape.
