Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior MEP Engineer to lead the design, coordination, and implementation of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for diverse construction projects across South Africa. Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA or equivalent is desirable.
• Minimum 8 years in MEP design/engineering with project leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, lighting and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of MEP systems for various building types.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant codes and standards.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Engineer to join their innovative design and engineering team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere in South Africa. You will be responsible for leading the design, coordination, and implementation of complex MEP systems for a variety of construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing principles, codes, and standards, coupled with strong project management and coordination skills. You will work collaboratively with architects, structural engineers, and other consultants to ensure integrated and efficient building services. This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable, and cost-effective MEP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Proficiency in MEP design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Navisworks.
• Strong understanding of building codes and energy efficiency standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and lead a remote team.
• Experience with sustainable design principles and certifications (e.g., Green Star).
