Placements24 is seeking a Senior Medical Affairs Manager based in Paarl, Western Cape, to lead medical strategies and engage with KOLs. The role translates scientific data into clinical value and ensures accurate medical communications across the product portfolio.

The ideal candidate holds an MD/DO/PhD (or PharmD with medical affairs experience) and has 5–7 years in medical affairs, with strong leadership, presentation, and regulatory knowledge. English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

Medical degree (MD/DO/PhD) or PharmD with relevant medical affairs expertise.
5–7 years of progressive medical affairs experience in pharma/biotech.
Proven track record in developing and executing medical strategies.
Extensive experience engaging with KOLs and managing medical relationships.
Strong understanding of clinical trial design, execution, and data analysis.
Excellent knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and industry codes.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement regional medical affairs strategy aligned with global objectives.
Identify and engage KOLs, investigators, and medical experts.
Provide scientific support for trials, education programs, and scientific exchange.
Review promotional materials for medical accuracy and compliance.
Deliver scientific presentations and training to internal and external stakeholders.
Oversee IIS medical aspects and support clinical research activities.
Monitor scientific landscape and identify opportunities/risks.
Contribute to disease area strategies and medical communication plans.
Participate in medical advisory boards and scientific congresses.
