Placements24 is seeking a Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer to design, analyze, and optimize mechanical systems for power generation assets in Pretoria. The role involves calculations, simulations, and development of technical specifications.

You will collaborate with project managers, electrical engineers, and field technicians to ensure reliable operation and safety, including site inspections and commissioning support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in mechanical systems design and analysis.
• Experience in power generation or heavy industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and optimize mechanical systems for power plants.
• Perform CAD modeling and simulations (FEA/CFD) to assess performance.
• Develop specifications, P&IDs, and drawings.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure safe and compliant designs.
