Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Lead Mechanical Project Engineer to drive critical projects from their Rustenburg facility. You will guide cross-functional teams through design, procurement, and construction, ensuring delivery on time and within budget while upholding quality standards.

With a strong leadership presence and a hands-on approach, you will mentor engineers, manage client/vendor relations, and implement robust project plans across diverse industrial initiatives in the North West province.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• At least 10 years in mechanical engineering with 5+ years in project management.
• Proven track record leading large-scale industrial/manufacturing projects.
• Familiarity with PMI or Agile project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of multiple mechanical projects.
• Manage timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for on-time completion.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians.
• Develop detailed project plans including scope, risk, and comms strategies.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety, and quality control.
