Qualifications
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with automation focus.
- 7+ years in mechanical engineering with industrial automation experience.
- Experience designing and implementing complex automated systems in mining/manufacturing.
- CAD proficiency and familiarity with simulation tools.
- Knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, robotics, and industrial networks.
- Strong leadership and project management capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for mechanical aspects of process automation projects.
- Develop and implement mechanical designs for automated systems and robotics integration.
- Oversee selection and integration of mechanical components and control systems.
- Conduct risk assessments and mitigation for mechanical automation.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure delivery.
- Collaborate with electrical/control engineers for seamless integration.
- Create technical documentation and SOPs.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
