The ideal candidate has 8+ years in mechanical engineering with project management experience, strong leadership, and proficiency in MS Project or Primavera. PrEng eligibility is a plus, and relocation to Pretoria is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
• At least 4 years in project management roles.
• Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure/industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management software (MS Project, Primavera).
• Registered Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple mechanical engineering projects from initiation to completion.
• Develop project plans, scopes, budgets, and timelines with stakeholders.
• Coordinate and supervise engineering teams, contractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, and safety regulations.
• Conduct site inspections and progress monitoring for design adherence.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve challenges.
• Manage project documentation and financial records.
• Liaise with clients, government agencies, and external parties.
• Oversee procurement of materials and equipment for timely delivery.
