Job summary

Mventech is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our mining-focused engineering team in Centurion. You will design, evaluate and implement mechanical systems for large scale mining projects, and provide technical advisory services throughout project lifecycles.

With 5+ years of relevant experience, you will model and analyze systems, contribute to tooling development, and communicate findings clearly to clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of professional experience in engineering in mining/mineral processing.
• Experience with multi-disciplinary engineering and design teams.
• Proficiency with analytical tools and software relevant to mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with asset lifecycle and reliability concepts.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, evaluate, monitor, and implement mechanical systems for local and international mines.
• Provide technical advisory services for projects in development, construction, and operation.
• Perform system modeling, simulation, and evaluation of design alternatives.
• Contribute to development of tools for mechanical system simulations.
• Prepare technical reports and present results to clients.
• Assist with asset management projects and related workstreams.
