Job summary

Henry Fagan is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer based in Johannesburg to lead mechanical building services projects from concept through completion. You will guide design, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with QMS and industry standards.

The role involves site supervision, quality assurance, and active participation in business development, tender submissions, and client engagement. Travel to project sites and client offices is required.

Qualifications

• BSc Eng or BEng in Mechanical Engineering.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) with ECSA.
• Minimum of 10 years' post-registration experience as a Professional Engineer.
• Valid driver''s license and own vehicle.
• No criminal record.
• Experience with hot water plant and heat pump systems, wet services, ductwork, and vertical transportation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, coordination, and delivery of mechanical building services from concept to completion.
• Supervise site activities, verify compliance with designs and quality standards, and resolve technical issues.
• Support business development, tender submissions, cost estimates, and client relationship management.
