Job summary

Henry Fagan (Pty) Ltd in Cape Town seeks a Candidate Mechanical Engineer to assist in mechanical services design, detailing, REVIT modeling, and the production of drawings and bills of quantities for infrastructure projects.

Reporting to the Team Lead: MEP Services in Johannesburg, the role involves coordination with other disciplines, site meetings, and ensuring quality and timely delivery within budget.

Qualifications

• B-Tech, B degree, or BSc Eng in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3-5 years' experience in the built environment.
• Registered with ECSA as a candidate Pr. Eng or Pr. Tech Eng.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the mechanical services design and drafting.
• Assist in mechanical engineering services for infrastructure projects, including HVAC and wet services.
• Prepare technical reports and cost estimates for mechanical designs.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities and ensure design transfer to construction drawings.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and attend site/coordination meetings.
