Qualifications

You will leverage your extensive CAD expertise and understanding of manufacturing processes to create precise technical drawings and models. Working in a hybrid capacity, you will collaborate effectively with engineers and production teams, ensuring designs are optimized for production and performance. Key Responsibilities

• Develop highly detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings for complex mechanical components and assemblies using advanced CAD techniques.
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, company specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers to refine designs based on performance analysis and functional requirements.
• Specify materials, tolerances, finishes, and other critical manufacturing details.
• Review and approve designs created by junior designers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Troubleshoot design-related issues that arise during the manufacturing or assembly process.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Mechanical Designer or Drafter.
• Advanced proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor) and PDM systems.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes , materials science, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with creating Bills of Materials (BOMs) and supporting production.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
