Job summary

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 and N3/N4 engineering or equivalent
• Trade certificate in Electrical or Mechanical
• Flameproof and Gas testing certification

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering and maintenance strategies and overhaul plans to meet KPI targets and decide by when to replace/repair equipment.
• Control maintenance costs vs budget and ensure equipment availability.
• Ensure adherence to maintenance programme and SOPs in area of responsibility.
• Implement engineering projects, ensure compliance with governance, and develop SOPs.
• Ensure adherence to engineering principles and legislation; maintain SHE standards.
• Carry out condition monitoring programs and predictive maintenance recommendations.
• Coordinate planning within the appointed area of responsibility to support production targets.
• Manage vacancy rates, staff development, and ensure effective team performance.
