Job summary

ATS Client in Pretoria is seeking an experienced Mainframe Systems Engineer / zOS Specialist to manage day-to-day operation of the Mainframe environment, including z hardware and z/OS software. You will ensure stability, performance and resilience while coordinating with multiple engineering teams.

Responsibilities include installations, upgrades, storage management, DR planning and business continuity activities, plus ongoing optimization of z/OS subsystems and third‑party products.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with z/OS and related subsystems.
• Experience installing and configuring third-party z/OS products.
• Solid storage management knowledge (DFSMS/DFSMShsm).
• Experience with disaster recovery planning and DR testing.
• Excellent collaboration and communication in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operation of the Mainframe environment.
