Job summary

K2 Recruit is recruiting five experienced Senior Machine Setters for a manufacturing client in Cape Town. You will set up, adjust and optimise production line equipment, perform efficient changeovers and ensure stable machine performance to meet output and quality standards.

The role requires a hands-on, mechanically inclined professional with 2–5 years of machine-setting experience in a GMP environment. Permanent night shift with no rotation and a focus on safety, efficiency and product quality.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 is the minimum education requirement.
• A formal technical qualification is essential.
• Approximately 2–5 years' experience in machine setting or a production manufacturing environment.
• Experience setting up, adjusting and operating production machinery.

Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare production machinery in accordance with SOPs.
• Configure machines for correct product formats, packaging sizes and filling parameters.
• Execute efficient machine changeovers between production runs to minimise downtime.
• Monitor and adjust machine settings to maintain required production output and quality.
• Maintain GMP, hygiene and 5S standards in the workplace.
