Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead supply chain optimization initiatives in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. The role combines on-site leadership at the hub with remote collaboration across functions.

You will drive WMS/TMS/ERP implementations, manage budgets and timelines, and engage with operations, IT, and external partners. A track record in complex logistics projects and APICS certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM, Logistics, Business Admin, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years in project management within logistics or supply chain.
• Proven track record managing complex supply chain optimization projects.
• Strong knowledge of WMS, TMS and ERP systems.
• Experience in a hybrid work model balancing remote and on-site activity.
• APICS CPIM/CSCP certification or equivalent is an asset.
• Lean principles and Six Sigma knowledge are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic project plans for logistics and supply chain improvements.
• Lead cross-functional project teams across operations, IT, finance, and external partners.
• Manage budgets, timelines, and resources for cost-effective delivery.
• Oversee implementation of WMS, TMS, and ERP modules.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement optimization solutions.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Manage relationships with 3PLs, carriers, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
• Deliver regular status reports and presentations to senior management.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
