Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead supply chain optimization initiatives in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. The role combines on-site leadership at the hub with remote collaboration across functions.

You will drive WMS/TMS/ERP implementations, manage budgets and timelines, and engage with operations, IT, and external partners. A track record in complex logistics projects and APICS certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM, Logistics, Business Admin, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years in project management within logistics or supply chain.
• Proven track record managing complex supply chain optimization projects.
• Strong knowledge of WMS, TMS and ERP systems.
• Experience in a hybrid work model balancing remote and on-site activity.
• APICS CPIM/CSCP certification or equivalent is an asset.
• Lean principles and Six Sigma knowledge are advantageous.

About the Role

Our client, a major player in the distribution and logistics sector, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead initiatives focused on optimizing their supply chain operations in the Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape region. This role is pivotal in driving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing the overall performance of our logistics network. You will be responsible for managing projects related to warehouse management systems, transportation networks, inventory control, and the integration of new technologies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of supply chain principles, a proven ability to manage complex projects, and excellent stakeholder management skills. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in project management within the logistics or supply chain industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex supply chain optimization projects.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau).
• Experience working in a hybrid model, balancing remote work with on-site presence in Port Elizabeth .
• APICS certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent is a strong asset.
• Understanding of Lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
