The role requires admission as an attorney with LLB/BA Law/BCom Law, 4–6 years PQE in litigation, strong High Court and Magistrates Court knowledge, and the ability to draft pleadings, motions and affidavits while supervising billing and administrative tasks.

Qualifications

Admitted attorney with the specified degrees.
4-6 years PQE in litigation.
Experience at a large firm preferred.
Knowledge of High Court and Magistrates Court procedures.
Criminal law experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

Monitor deadlines closely to ensure timely filing and court appearances.
Conduct comprehensive legal research on statutes, regulations, and case law to inform litigation strategies and provide accurate advice.
Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
Ensure compliance with court rules, deadlines and ethical obligations.
Oversee administrative tasks: maintain case files, track billable hours, and prepare billing statements.
Provide strategic legal advice on a wide range of litigation matters.
