AGC Recruitment Pty Ltd in Sandton seeks an experienced Senior Associate: Litigation to manage a diverse caseload across civil and criminal matters, guiding cases from inception to resolution within a growing boutique firm.

The role requires admission as an attorney with LLB/BA Law/BCom Law, 4–6 years PQE in litigation, strong High Court and Magistrates Court knowledge, and the ability to draft pleadings, motions and affidavits while supervising billing and administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• Admitted attorney with the specified degrees.
• 4-6 years PQE in litigation.
• Experience at a large firm preferred.
• Knowledge of High Court and Magistrates Court procedures.
• Criminal law experience beneficial.

Responsabilités

• Monitor deadlines closely to ensure timely filing and court appearances.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research on statutes, regulations, and case law to inform litigation strategies and provide accurate advice.
• Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
• Ensure compliance with court rules, deadlines and ethical obligations.
• Oversee administrative tasks: maintain case files, track billable hours, and prepare billing statements.
• Provide strategic legal advice on a wide range of litigation matters.
