Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney with 8+ years post-qualification experience in energy/infrastructure.
• Experience advising on energy projects, regulatory matters, and complex contracts.
• Strong knowledge of SA energy legislation and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and provide timely advice.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on energy project development, regulatory approvals, and environmental compliance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate PPAs, EPC contracts, and joint venture agreements.
• Advise on corporate finance transactions and project financing for energy infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with energy sector regulations, laws, and policies.
• Manage and resolve energy project disputes and litigation.
• Conduct legal due diligence for investments and acquisitions in energy sector.
• Liaise with government agencies, regulators, and external counsel.
• Develop and implement legal risk management strategies.
