Placements24 is seeking a Commercial Lawyer to join their legal team in Nelspruit. The role focuses on providing expert legal support for commercial operations, including project development, procurement, and regulatory matters within the energy industry.

You will draft and negotiate complex contracts, manage legal risks, and ensure compliance with sector-specific regulations. This position offers exposure to significant energy projects from Nelspruit.

Formación

• Admitted Attorney with at least 6 years experience in commercial law, energy sector preferred.
• Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex commercial contracts.
• Knowledge of energy-related laws and regulations is highly advantageous.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a demanding, project-driven environment.

Responsabilidades

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements related to energy projects (EPC, O&M, PPAs).
• Advise on regulatory compliance within the energy sector in South Africa.
• Conduct legal due diligence for new projects and investments.
• Manage legal aspects of procurement processes and supply chain contracts.
• Liaise with government authorities, regulators, and external counsel.
• Assist in resolving disputes and claims arising from commercial contracts.
