Placements24 is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer with a strong focus on cloud technologies. Fully remote role, with the core team based in Stellenbosch, Western Cape.

You will architect, develop, and deploy scalable cloud-native applications while guiding a team of engineers and mentoring juniors. Ideal candidate has deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), microservices, and modern DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with cloud focus.
• Proven expertise in AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Strong experience with microservices and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in Python, Go or Java.
• Solid DevOps principles and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
