Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Java Developer to spearhead a team responsible for architecting and delivering enterprise-level applications in Tembisa. You will define technical strategy, uphold code quality, and drive the successful delivery of complex software projects.

The ideal candidate has over 7 years of Java development experience, including 2 years in a lead role, with deep expertise in Spring, Hibernate, microservices, and RESTful APIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 7 years of professional Java development experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior capacity.
• Deep understanding of Java ecosystem, including Spring Framework, Hibernate, and JVM internals.
• Extensive experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs and related design patterns.
• Proficiency in database design and management (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Java developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Architect, design, and develop scalable, enterprise-grade applications using Java and related frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot).
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and the implementation of comprehensive testing strategies.
• Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs.
• Oversee the deployment process and provide support for production systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Drive technical innovation and evaluate new technologies to enhance the development process and product capabilities.
