Job summary

Goldman Tech Resourcing is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to join its client’s technology team in Sandton. This hybrid role blends 60–70% leadership with 30–40% hands‑on development, ideal for a senior software engineer who mentors others and delivers scalable enterprise solutions.

You will lead design, architecture and CI/CD governance, collaborate with stakeholders and drive best practices across Java/Spring Boot, REST/GraphQL APIs, cloud platforms and container ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Expert Java and Spring Boot development.
• Strong knowledge of REST, SOAP and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps.
• Strong SQL and NoSQL experience.
• Experience with Kafka and messaging technologies.
• Cloud experience with Azure and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to a team of software developers.
• Design and develop secure, scalable, high‑performance enterprise applications.
• Lead solution architecture, technical design and code review activities.
• Mentor developers and promote engineering best practices.
• Drive software quality, governance and continuous improvement initiatives.
