Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer in Vereeniging, Gauteng, to design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java backend systems. You will lead microservices projects, mentor junior engineers, and influence architectural decisions in a hybrid work setup.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of Java experience, strong Spring, REST, and database knowledge, plus cloud and containerization familiarity.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional software development experience focusing on Java.
Experience with Spring framework (Spring Boot/Spring MVC).
Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and microservices.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
