Job summary

Accso seeks an experienced software engineer with a strong background in Java, JavaScript, Spring, Kotlin, and modern build tools. The role focuses on delivering robust backend services and REST APIs for diverse clients across Germany and South Africa.

You will work in an agile, collaborative environment, contributing to code reviews, performance improvements, and CI/CD practices to raise engineering standards. Flexible, modern offices and knowledge-transfer communities support growth.

Qualifications

• University degree in computer science or a comparable discipline.
• At least 5 years of professional software development experience with listed technologies.
• Experience with agile methods such as Scrum or Design Thinking.

Responsibilities

• Solve challenging software engineering problems across diverse projects for German and South African clients.
• Design, develop and implement robust software solutions using AI-native development approaches.
• Build backend services, REST APIs and integration layers; apply OO design principles and patterns.
• Contribute to code reviews, performance tuning and CI/CD practices; raise engineering standards across the team.
• Collaborate across all disciplines of software engineering.
