Job summary

Positron SE's banking client seeks an experienced Java Developer to join their team for a 12 month contract. You will be responsible for development, unit testing, deployments and end-to-end deliverables with strong focus on Spring, JPA/Hibernate and microservices in a Scrum environment.

Strong hands-on Java software engineering background and experience with SOA/microservices, REST/JSON, SOAP/XML, MQ and NoSQL databases is required. Proficiency with Git, Maven and common IDEs is expected.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Java software engineering background.
• Solid experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, Micronaut.
• Experience across SOA and microservices architectures.
• Knowledge of REST, JSON, SOAP/XML and messaging (MQ).
• Experience with multi-tier architectures and deployment automation.
• Proficiency in Git, Maven and IDEs (Eclipse/IntelliJ).
• Experience with SQL/DB2 and NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB).

Responsibilities

• Support & maintenance and development of quality software.
• Unit testing and deployments.
• End-to-end accountability for deliverables and stakeholder management.
• Ensure adherence to coding and design standards.
• Submit code for quality reviews and provide QA involvement.
• Provide progress feedback to Scrum Master/PM and track timesheets.
• Self-manage capacity and deliverables aligned with sprint plan.
• Stand-by, support and maintenance of systems.
