Job summary

Entersekt, a leader in digital banking security, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the 3DS Payments team. You will design, build and maintain Java-based backend services handling secure payment authentication and sensitive data.

You will contribute to architecture decisions, ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements, and mentor peers while collaborating with product, QA and DevOps to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional software engineering experience in backend Java
• Experience building RESTful APIs and distributed systems
• Strong knowledge of secure coding practices (OWASP Top 10) and regulated environments (PCI DSS, GDPR)
• Experience with Apache Tomcat and relational databases (MySQL)
• Experience with cloud and container tech (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services within the 3DS Payments platform
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and distributed systems
• Develop and support Java applications deployed on Apache Tomcat
• Design, optimise and maintain MySQL database schemas and queries
• Identify and resolve performance, stability and production issues
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical tradeoffs
• Ensure systems adhere to secure coding practices and compliance requirements
• Collaborate with product, QA and DevOps teams throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Mentor and support other engineers within the team
• Take ownership of features and services from design through to production
