Job summary

Jobtailor in Randburg is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to own end-user support and Azure-based infrastructure. You will manage user lifecycles in Entra ID and Microsoft 365, deploy Intune, and administer Exchange Online and SharePoint Online, while supporting VPNs, IIS, and Cloudflare DNS.

Qualifications

• Matric and IT diploma/degree, or equivalent certifications (CompTIA A+ and Network+)
• 3–5 years of IT support or systems administration experience
• Experience administering a Microsoft 365 tenant through admin centers
• Experience with Azure services and Azure portal
• Proven hands-on experience administering Microsoft Entra ID
• Experience administering Exchange Online and SharePoint Online
• Windows Server management in Azure VMs
• Strong knowledge of Windows 11 and Microsoft 365
• Networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, DHCP, routing)
• Firewall, VPN configuration and traffic troubleshooting
• PowerShell for user/tenant administration
• Excellent problem-solving and patience with non-technical users
• Valid driver’s license and own transport
• Microsoft certifications (MD-102 or AZ-104) or equivalents
• Desirable: SC-300, MS-102, ITIL Foundation, Sophos experience
• Cloudflare DNS management experience
• ITSM/ticketing experience

Responsibilities

• Own end-user support requests and resolve issues end-to-end
• Manage user lifecycle in Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365
• Configure and maintain laptops and endpoints with Intune
• Administer SharePoint Online and Teams access and structure
• Support VPN access and remote connectivity
• Log and escalate incidents as needed
• Maintain Certificate Servers and IIS
• Manage DNS hosting via Cloudflare
• Administer firewall rules on Sophos appliances
• Oversee backup management and restore verification
• Monitor Azure resources (App Services, SQL, networking)
• Contribute to internal IT projects and improvements
• Be day-to-day owner of end-user support and productivity tools
• Collaborate with engineering on Azure-based infrastructure and cloud security
