Placements24 in Vereeniging is seeking an experienced IT Security Manager to lead their security program and team. You will develop and maintain the organization's information security program, protecting digital assets, data, and systems against cyber threats.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in IT security with 2+ years in a leadership role, plus certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA; a master's degree is preferred. This is a strategic role with impact across IT and business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; Master's preferred.
• 5–7 years in IT security with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience developing and executing security strategies.
• Knowledge of risk management, compliance, and incident response.
• Strong leadership, communication and project management.
• CISSP, CISM, or CISA certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the overall information security strategy and program.
• Lead and mentor a team of security analysts and engineers.
• Oversee security technologies including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM.
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Manage incident response activities and breach resolution.
• Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability management, and audits.
• Collaborate with IT leadership to align security with organizational goals.
