Job summary

GardaWorld Security Africa seeks an IT Project Manager, Africa to lead end-to-end delivery of strategic technology initiatives across multiple African country offices, including Johannesburg. You will manage governance, risks, budgets and stakeholder engagement to realise business benefits.

This senior role requires 7+ years in IT project management, PMP/PRINCE2, and strong vendor management with experience in ERP/migrations and IT deployments. Travel across Africa is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT, CS, Business or related field
• “PMP” or “PRINCE2 Practitioner” certification mandatory
• Minimum seven years in IT project management with enterprise-scale delivery
• Proven ability to deliver complex technology projects such as ERP, migrations or deployments
• Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet)
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery in IT environments
• Strong governance, RAID, risk, change control and executive reporting capabilities
• Ability to create and maintain project documentation and charters

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of assigned projects from initiation through closure
• Establish scope, objectives, governance, deliverables and success criteria
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, milestones and resource plans
• Drive delivery across business, IT, vendors and partners
• Manage RAID, risks, dependencies, decisions and change control
• Ensure delivery within scope, schedule, budget and quality targets
• Lead governance forums and executive reporting
• Drive stakeholder engagement, communications and change adoption
