Qualifications

• Knowledge of ITIL and change management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience with ERP or BI projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end IT projects from planning to closing.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-oriented Senior IT Project Manager to oversee key technology initiatives in Rustenburg . This role is critical for driving the successful implementation of IT projects that support business objectives, focusing on digital transformation and system upgrades. You will collaborate closely with IT leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure seamless project execution. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in managing diverse IT projects, from infrastructure rollouts to software development, within a mining or industrial context.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of IT projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closing.
• Develop detailed project schedules, resource allocation plans, and budgets for technology initiatives.
• Coordinate with technical teams (developers, infrastructure, security) to ensure project tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Conduct regular project status meetings and provide comprehensive reports to stakeholders on progress, risks, and issues.
• Ensure adherence to IT governance, security policies, and compliance requirements throughout project execution.
• Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and manage the deployment of new IT systems and solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; PMP or equivalent certification is required.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience specifically in managing IT projects , including software development, infrastructure, and cloud implementations.
• Proficiency in agile project management frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and traditional waterfall methodologies.
• Strong understanding of ITIL best practices and change management processes.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with ERP systems or business intelligence projects is a plus.
