Job summary

Affirmative Portfolios in Johannesburg is seeking a Group Inventory Controller on a permanent basis. You will manage inventory transactions and perform reconciliations between the Inventory Module and the General Ledger across regions.

The role requires a 5-year track record in inventory management, PFMA knowledge, and Oracle ERP experience. A National Diploma in Financial Accounting and matric are essential credentials.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) is required.
• National Diploma in Financial Accounting or equivalent NQF Level 6.
• 5 years in Inventory Management.
• Knowledge of accrual accounting, GRAP/IFRS.
• PFMA and Treasury regulations knowledge.
• ERP systems experience (Oracle preferable).
• Knowledge of procurement matters.
• Advisory PFMA experience.

Responsibilities

• Record inventory transactions accurately in the inventory system and General Ledger.
• Perform reconciliations between Inventory Module and General Ledger.
• Analyse inventory movements and investigate discrepancies with regions.
• Ensure timely posting of expense store journals.
• Ensure compliance with inventory policies, GRAP, PFMA, and Treasury Regulations.
• Prepare inventory audit files and supporting docs.
• Liaise with auditors on inventory related matters and address audit queries.
• Coordinate physical stock counts across regions.
• Monitor stock counts to match approved policies.
