Job summary

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Inventory Controller for a prestigious 5-star boutique hotel in Cape Town. The role covers all stock-holding departments from F&B to spa and retail, ensuring accuracy, audit readiness, and adherence to group standards.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in hospitality inventory management, hands-on with systems like MyStock/MyInventory/Sage, and strong analytical and cross-department collaboration skills. Live-out position available.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality inventory or multi-department stock management in a luxury hotel environment
• Hands-on experience with inventory systems such as MyStock, MyInventory or Sage Inventory
• Strong analytical and numerical ability with high accuracy and disciplined follow-through
• Ability to supervise Storeman and Administrator functions
• Stable work history with contactable references

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily stock movements across departments and ensure SOP compliance
• Verify transactions including POs, GRNs, transfers, wastage, credits and issues
• Reject and correct inaccuracies before daily cut-off
• Maintain item master data, UOM, cost and VAT categorisation
• Reconcile POS sales against inventory depletion across outlets
• Lead mid-month and month-end stock counts and prepare full month-end packs
• Validate purchasing requests against budgets, PAR levels and ROP settings
• Oversee GRN accuracy and three-way matching (PO, delivery note, invoice)
• Ensure separation of duties and complete digital audit trails
• Support internal and external audits with accurate records
