Job summary

Hollywoodbets, based in Durban, is seeking a Senior Internal Control Accountant to lead the audit team within the finance department. You will adapt procedures for system upgrades and new products, ensuring accurate reconciliations and safeguarding the business against financial loss.

You will work closely with audit managers, evaluate business processes, test integrations, deploy new software, and deliver timely findings.

Qualifications

• Auditing and accounting experience (2+ years).
• Matric is required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• SAICA articles completed or currently studying preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the audit department managers to lead the team.
• Understand and evaluate business processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist in planning and managing implementation of improvement programs.
• Collect and analyse data to detect system weaknesses and identify risks.
• Test integrations and new products with development and operations teams.
• Oversee deployment of new software and related processes.
• Submit daily reports summarising key aspects of sign‑offs.
• Maintain and improve internal control frameworks and documentation.
