Job summary

HENSOLDT South Africa is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to design, develop and maintain engaging learning solutions that address business needs and strengthen capability. The role involves collaborating with SMEs and technical trainers to produce classroom, digital and blended content with measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree aligned with instructional design.
• Qualification in Curriculum Development or Educational Technology advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in instructional design or curriculum development.
• Experience developing classroom-based, digital and blended learning programmes.
• Experience collaborating with Subject Matter Experts to develop technical content.
• Experience designing technical training material in manufacturing, engineering or defence environments advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements, performance gaps and learner needs with stakeholders to design targeted learning interventions.
• Develop instructor-led, digital and blended programmes with structured content, storyboards and assessments.
• Evaluate programmes via pilots, feedback, analytics and outcomes to improve solutions and value.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and Technical Trainers to translate knowledge into learning material.
• Research and apply emerging learning technologies and learner-centred approaches to improve delivery and capability.
