Placements24 is seeking a Senior Project Manager with a focus on infrastructure projects for our client in Upington, Northern Cape. You will lead end-to-end delivery of critical infrastructure initiatives, ensuring scope, budget, and schedule adherence while coordinating with engineers, regulators, and contractors.

The role requires at least 8 years of progressive project management experience in infrastructure, strong leadership, and a track record of capital project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in project management, with a specialization in infrastructure projects (roads, utilities, public works).
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of contract management, procurement processes, and construction methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• PMP or equivalent certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and closure of complex infrastructure projects.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope definition, timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.
• Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Oversee contractor and vendor performance, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, permits, and safety protocols for infrastructure projects.
• Provide regular, clear, and concise project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
