Placements24 is seeking a Senior Information Security Manager to lead our security team in Centurion, Gauteng. The role combines on-site and remote work in a hybrid model, focusing on strategy, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in information security with leadership experience, CISSP/CISM/CISA, and strong knowledge of ISO 27001/NIST CSF. You will mentor staff and report to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Cybersecurity.
• 7+ years in information security with at least 3 years in a management role.
• CISSP, CISM or CISA certifications are required.
• Experience with ISO 27001 and NIST CSF frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the information security strategy and roadmap.
• Oversee threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Ensure regulatory and standards compliance (e.g., POPIA).
• Lead and mentor the information security team in a hybrid environment.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage security technologies, controls, and audits.
• Deliver security awareness training for all staff.
• Present security reports to senior management and board.
• Coordinate with vendors and external auditors.
• Lead investigations and ensure timely incident resolution.
