Placements24 is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer in Benoni to design, implement, and maintain enterprise security infrastructure. You will lead threat mitigation, security architecture reviews, and incident response while mentoring junior staff in a dynamic Gauteng setting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 6+ years of experience, with expertise in network security, cloud security, and strong scripting skills.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in information security engineering or similar role.
• Expertise in network security, system hardening, and cloud security principles.
• Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, and encryption technologies.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

• Design, implement, and manage security solutions (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, SIEM).
