Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Information Security Analyst for our Klerksdorp team. You will detect, analyze, and respond to security threats while improving monitoring capabilities across the organization.

Responsibilities include leading incident response, developing SIEM detections, conducting vulnerability assessments, and mentoring junior analysts in a hybrid in-office/remote setup in the North West province.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years in information security focusing on threat intel, IR, and security operations.
• CISSP/GIAC or equivalent certifications preferred.

Responsabilités

• Analyze security alerts, logs, and network traffic to identify threats.
• Lead incident response coordination and timely remediation of incidents.
• Develop and optimize detection rules and analytics in SIEM and monitoring tools.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation with system owners.
• Contribute to security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Mentor junior security analysts and share knowledge.
