Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Information Security Analyst for our Klerksdorp team. You will detect, analyze, and respond to security threats while improving monitoring capabilities across the organization.

Responsibilities include leading incident response, developing SIEM detections, conducting vulnerability assessments, and mentoring junior analysts in a hybrid in-office/remote setup in the North West province.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years in information security focusing on threat intel, IR, and security operations.
• CISSP/GIAC or equivalent certifications preferred.

About the Role

• Expertise in using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and other security monitoring technologies.
• In-depth understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and common attack vectors.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or equivalent are preferred.
