Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Information Security Consultant for a fully remote, contract-based engagement. You will provide expert guidance on security strategy, risk management, and regulatory compliance to strengthen the client's security posture.

The role requires 7+ years in information security, master’s degree in a related field and professional certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA). Independent work, strong communication, and ability to advise across technologies and frameworks

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related field; professional certifications mandatory.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in information security consulting or senior security roles.
• Proven expertise in security risk assessments, security strategies, and implementing controls.

Responsibilities

• Conduct information security assessments and provide strategic recommendations.
• Develop and refine security policies, procedures, and standards.
• Advise on implementation of security technologies and best practices.
• Assist in risk management, threat identification, and mitigation planning.
• Support data privacy and security compliance efforts (e.g., POPIA).
• Provide insights on emerging security trends and technologies.
