Placements24 is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer specialized in Systems and Simulation to join our client’s team in Centurion, Gauteng. The role focuses on analyzing complex operational systems, building advanced simulation models, and delivering data-driven recommendations to boost performance and reduce costs.

Ideal candidates hold a Master's degree and 7+ years in industrial engineering with strong simulation expertise, and will work in a hybrid setup across Centurion’s dynamic industrial

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field.
• 7+ years of experience in industrial engineering with emphasis on systems simulation and modeling.
• Expertise in simulation software (Arena, AnyLogic, Simio) and statistical analysis tools.
• Proficiency in Python or C++ for custom modeling is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate discrete-event simulation models of manufacturing and logistics systems.
• Analyze outputs to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies and propose improvements.
• Develop and implement recommendations for process optimization, layouts, and resource allocation based on simulation results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and define project scope for simulations.
• Utilize statistical analysis to support model development and validation.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations of findings and recommendations for management.
• Mentor junior engineers in simulation tools and methodologies.
