Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Cleaning Operations Manager to oversee the comprehensive cleaning and sanitation operations at our Kimberley facilities on-site. This critical leadership role focuses on safety, efficiency, and hygiene across all areas, with responsibility for staff, budgets, and protocols.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Proficiency with cleaning management software and office tools.
• Relevant qualification in facilities management or environmental health is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive industrial cleaning policies and procedures.
• Manage and supervise the daily activities of cleaning staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee the procurement and inventory management of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to cleaning standards and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, including hazardous waste disposal.
• Develop and manage the departmental budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
• Implement new cleaning technologies and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Liaise with other department managers to coordinate cleaning schedules and address facility needs.
• Investigate and resolve any cleaning-related issues or complaints promptly.
