Placements24 is seeking a Senior Buyer - Industrial Goods in Vereeniging to lead strategic procurement for industrial components, raw materials and equipment. You will drive sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and collaborate with engineering and production to optimize costs and delivery.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in industrial procurement, strong negotiation and contract management skills, and proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM, business, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years in industrial procurement with direct materials and capital equipment.
• Proven expertise in complex negotiations and contract management.
• Deep knowledge of industrial markets, manufacturing processes, and global sourcing.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and procurement software.
• Ability to manage challenging supplier relationships and drive performance improvements.
• Membership in professional bodies (e.g., CIPS) is advantageous.

Responsibilities
