Job summary

AES Global is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to own and orchestrate a portfolio spanning regulated financial services ICT initiatives in Cape Town. You will lead delivery with cross-functional teams, balancing operational, regulatory and technical demands.

You will drive governance artefacts, RAID management and stakeholder engagement across business, ICT and external vendors, ensuring on-time outcomes within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• 8+ years as a project manager in ICT for financial services.
• Track record delivering technology-driven, regulatory projects through full lifecycle.
• Practical understanding of fund services processes (fund accounting, transfer agency, settlements, custody, corporate actions, NAV calculation, fee billing).
• Experience managing SDLC projects—software procurement, vendor implementations, system integrations, deployment and post-implementation support.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the full project lifecycle across technical, operational and regulatory programmes—initiation through closure.
• Manage software procurement, vendor implementations, system integrations and in-house development with cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate external vendors and hold third parties accountable to contracts, SLAs and quality standards.
• Lead regulatory change projects with compliance, legal and ICT to meet timelines.
• Produce status reports, dashboards and portfolio-level management information for technology leadership.
