With 5+ years of hydrogeology research experience and a Master’s degree, you will collaborate with national stakeholders and publish findings to influence water management strategies in South Africa.

Qualifications

• Master's degree mandatory in hydrogeology or related field.
• 5+ years of professional hydrogeology research experience with field data collection.
• Publication track record in reputable journals preferred, PhD considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement groundwater monitoring programs across diverse settings.
• Perform isotopic and geochemical analyses to determine groundwater age and recharge.
• Develop and calibrate numerical groundwater flow models (MODFLOW/FEFLOW).
• Collaborate with government agencies to apply research to water management policy.
• Prepare technical reports, journal articles, and conference presentations.
• Supervise junior researchers and field technicians during campaigns.
