Qualifications

• Trade qualification or relevant certification in HVAC or Refrigeration.
• Minimum of 8 years hands-on HVAC experience, with 2+ years in senior/lead role.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair commercial HVAC systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical and control systems related to HVAC.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client, a prominent property management group, is seeking a highly experienced Senior HVAC Technician to manage and maintain the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across their portfolio of commercial properties in Pretoria, Gauteng, ZA . This role is critical for ensuring optimal building performance, tenant comfort, and energy efficiency. The Senior HVAC Technician will lead a small team, provide expert technical guidance, and handle complex repairs and installations. This is an on-site position requiring your presence at various locations within the Pretoria region.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair a variety of HVAC systems, including boilers, chillers, air handlers, and refrigeration units.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system operation and longevity.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Perform system diagnostics, including air and water balancing, and provide recommendations for improvements.

Requirements
