• Minimum 5 years as HVAC installer in a senior/lead role.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigerants, and installation techniques.
• Ability to read mechanical and architectural drawings.
• Strong understanding of electrical wiring and controls for HVAC systems.
• Experience with brazing, soldering, and pipefitting.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Certification in HVAC installation and repair (NTC or Red Seal) is required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Commitment to safety and organized work in Cape Town.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the installation of HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, and electrical connections.
• Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the optimal placement and configuration of equipment.
• Perform system commissioning and ensure all installations meet design specifications and performance standards.
• Conduct thorough testing and calibration of installed systems to guarantee optimal functionality and energy efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any installation-related issues encountered on-site.
• Provide technical guidance and training to apprentice and junior HVAC technicians.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and industry best practices throughout the installation process.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HVAC installer, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead capacity.
